My story
In 2001 I co-founded the associated law firm “Studio Legale Brusa Spagnolo Tosoni Carelli”, later became “Studio Legale Brusa Spagnolo Tosoni Carelli”.
During the course of my professional activity as criminal lawyer, I specialized in criminal law, and I have built a reputation assisting clients facing with financial and company crimes, Public Administration crimes and, in general, in culpable crimes related to professional negligence (i.e. medical liability), and environmental legislation.
In particular, I held defense counsel position in the main criminal court cases of the past years such as the court case for bankruptcy and market rigging by Parmalat, the court case for banking crimes by Banca Popolare di Lodi and the so-called “Telecom affair” case, the court case for stock manipulation by Saipem SpA and several cases regarding environmental and tax fiddle.
During the exercise of my professional activity, it is frequent both the collaboration with technical consultants particularly qualified in the specific subjects addressed and with colleagues specialized in different practice areas (administrative and labour law).
I participated with the other law firm’s partners and associated as speaker in conferences on “Corporate administrative liability” (D.lgs 231/01).
I taught, as assistant lecturer, in the School for Specialization in Legal Professions at the University of Milan, on topics relating to procedural criminal law; I was a member of the Director of Criminal Chamber of Milan for two years.
